BETTY B'S JUSTIN TYME VACATION RENTALS is a short walk to Adventure Tours (Including seasonal river rafting & kayaking), Antiquing, Restaurants, Taverns (featuring karaoke & live bands most weekends), Museum, Rodeo Grounds, Post Office, tranquil parks and of course the Kern River offering great fishing.

In addition to fishing, you can enjoy shooting some hoops, entertain the kids at the playground, picnic and Bar B Q or actually venture into the river for water play (when the water level permits) at Riverside park just a block from the cottages.

If golf is your game - bring your clubs, Kernville's full service golf course is less than a mile across town.

Lake Isabella is 10 miles south of Kernville, offering boat rentals and access for all lake activities.  On the road to Lake Isabella you will find the turn off for Alta Sierra - home of the Greenhorn Grille Restaurant and Alta Sierra Shirley Meadow all terrain parks - enjoy skiing and snowboarding in winter months.

Take Sierra Hwy north from the cottages for about an hour or so, to the Sequoia Monument, nestled in the Giant Redwoods surrounded by endless paths, meadows and springs to explore.  Along the road to the redwoods, about 10 minutes from the cottages you will pass through the little town of River Kern, home of Cheyanne's - an original stage stop.  Further up the highway, about 25 minutes from the cottages, you will find Mc Nally's Restaurant in Fairview.  This landmark is known for its excellent beef, whether it is a hamburger from the little stand or a king sized meal at the restaurant, it is worth the drive.  The suspension bridge, built in 1950's is located right behind the restaurant.  Be sure to take time for a walk on the suspension bridge to experience the true beauty of the Kern River in a unique way.
